요즘에 부쩍 한국에서 문의가 많이 온다.
예전에 2명 정도였다면
지금은 10명 정도로 5배 이상 증가했다.
그만큼 미국에 이민 오려는 사람들이
많다는 얘기다.
한국에 사는 A씨는
89년생으로 미스코리아급 외모,
아버지가 중견 기업을 운영하고 있다.
한국에서 결혼해도 좋은 조건이다.
32세의 B씨는
한국에서 명문대를 졸업했다.

미국 실리콘밸리 같이 더 넓은 세계에서
공부하고 일하고 싶어한다.
세상이 많이 변하고,

많은 젊은이들이

구체적인 직장명, 대학명 등은 공개하지 않는다.
경우에 따라 다르지만,
100명 정도는 만남을 요청한다.
매니저가 답장을 보내온
100명의 여성들을 일일이 확인하고
남성과 어울린다고 판단되는 여성을
30명 정도로 정리한다.
남성이 웹사이트에서
30명의 리스트를 보고
마음에 드는 여성을 15명 정도로 줄이면
다시 매니저와 의논해서
최종적으로 10명 정도로 압축한다.
그리고 서로 연락처를 공개하게 되고,
남성은 여성들과 전화, 메일, sns 등을 통해
대화를 나누면서 좀 더 상대를 파악한다.
매니저는 남성, 그리고 만남 후보 여성 10명의
의사를 확인한 후
남성이 한국에 와서 만날 여성을 최종적으로 확정한다.
한국에서 미국으로 배우자를 만나러 오는 경우도
이와 같은 과정을 통해
만남 상대를 정하게 된다.
이렇게
IT를 기반으로 한 글로벌 만남이 늘고 있다.
특히 미국과 한국 간에 만남이 많은데,
미국의 한국계는
아직 부모세대가 자녀 결혼에 영향력이 있고,
그래서 부모와 권유와 바람을 들어드리기 위해
자녀들이 많이 노력하는 상황이기 때문이다.
