“The law of conservation of mass” is a theory that the total mass remains constant before and after chemical change. Interestingly, there is something similar to this scientific theory in the relationship between men and women.
In my opinion, one’s love, passion, and energy that can be used for the opposite sex are limited.
There was a lady-killer. He dated thousands of ladies, and of course, enjoyed his sexual ability to the fullest.
Even before he reached 60, he rapidly got old and eventually became impotent. His energy sustaining his sexual drive had been depleted.
He, who could not be sexually excited by anyone, had become fallen into sexual perversion and could not continue his sex life without abnormal sexual stimulation.
As an opposite case, there was a pure-hearted guy. He found the right person for himself when he was young. He married, had children, and lived an ordinary life.

If one spends too much energy in his/her early days, then (s)he needs to stay calm at the end. If one stays calm in his/her early days, (s)he may have come to spend too much energy at the end.
Pursue the life in which you shall not spend too much energy in your early days nor at the end, that is the law of conservation of love between husband and wife.
