Hello!
I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather and getting outside. We have a lot of events coming up. These are the (almost) last round of engagement events that we will have before the draft neighborhood plans move onto the next phase where they will be reviewed by the Planning Commission and then by City Council before they are adopted.
At this point we really want to focus on inviting people who live in Northeast or Northwest Bellevue. Of course we will never turn anyone away, so don’t worry too much. Over the next few days you should do the following:
- Send personal emails to people you have met with who live in Northeast or Northwest Bellevue to invite them to the event. I’ve pasted some language you can use below.
- Make a phone call or send a text to people with a short invite and the link.
- Post on social media. I have pasted some language and attached an image you can share.
And don’t forget to post your time by tomorrow!

7 Virtual Sessions. 8 Presentations. 200+ Participants. Countless Ideas.
Great Neighborhoods, the city's neighborhood area planning process launched almost a year ago. And despite the challenges presented by the pandemic we've been able to run a robust community engagement process.
We began by asking people about their vision for the future and the values that mattered most. We then explored challenges and opportunities. Next up was a series of community brainstorming sessions where we learned how residents wanted to move forward.
We've taken all that feedback to develop draft goals and policies that lay a foundation for a vibrant, livable, and sustainable future for Northeast Bellevue.
Now we want to share that work with you. Please join us at one of our upcoming policy discussions to learn more and share your feedback.
