미국 정부가 세계 최대 전자상거래 업체 아마존의 해외 사이트를 '악명 높은 시장'(notorious markets)으로 지정하는 방안을 저울질하고 있다고 일간 월스트리트저널(WSJ)이 6일(현지시간) 보도했다.
미 정부가 지정하는 악명 높은 시장은 가짜·위조 상품이나 불법 복제한 해적판 콘텐츠를 판매하는 외국의 온라인·오프라인 장터를 말한다.
미 무역대표부(USTR)는 매년 이런 활동이 의심되는 시장을 지목해 그 명단을 발표한다. 올해에도 몇 주 내 명단이 발표될 것으로 예상된다.
