워싱턴주 교통 위원회에서 올해와 내년에 페리 요금을2.5% 인상하자고 제안했다. 이 제안이 이번 여름에 승인된다면 올해 10월과 2022년 10월에 효력을 발휘 할 것이다. 이 제안은 모든 노선, 승객 그리고 차량에 해당될 예정이다.
워싱턴주 페리 관련자는 페리 서비스가 유지되려면 요금이 인상 되어야 한다고 말했다. 코로나 사태로 인해 페리 사업이 더욱 더 초조한 상태에 빠졌다고 전했다.
교통 위원회에서 페리 요금을 3% 이상 인상하고 도보로 가는 승객의 요금은 올리지 말자는 주장도 나왔으나 이 의견은 추진 되지 않았다.
